About this page:

This page is an invitation to join with me and others to think about how planning with people anywhere in the world can be linked to making the UN Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities real.

Article 19 sets out the Right to Live Independently and Be Included in the Community.  It has three sections, simply explained as Home, Support and Community, it includes reference to other Articles relating to Education, health and Employment.  I am using this as a base for the planning I do with people.  The current version of the planning framework I use is available for download: Personal Life Planning

(Last updated March 2022)

I will upload revisions as and when they are complete.  There is no trademark or ownership of this framework, it's simply open source.

You are free to download, use and do whatever feels right in your work with it.  It would be great though if you wanted to share your thoughts, ideas, comments and any experiences.  I really hope that you will want to join the discussion and see what we can produce as a community of people.

So, please have a look, use and if you'd like to talk more then get in touch - email me

IMPORTANT:

Many people may have already had this idea and developed their own planning framework based on the UNCRPD - I would love to see what you have done!...let's talk!!

Future revisions - To discuss

  • How to keep it very simple,

  • How to ensure its always person centred
